A carton is a rectangular container closable on all 6 sides made from lined or unlined box board materials with the ability to fold flat for storage before use. Our cartons can be subdivided into 3 sections.
Cartons
Rectangular hollow sections formed by Packprint on straight lined gluing machines. Although the top and base are often of similar construction they may be either press lock or crash lock based for easier make – that up and tops for carrying and pouring. Many cartons are designed for use on high speed erecting/filling/closing machinery.
Carton Flats
These are supplies to our customers cut to shape and flat, to be locked and/or glued with them. As with cartons, machine erection has now become more prominent, being tied in with complete packaging systems.
Corner glued cartons
There are various different shapes of corner glued cartons, but are all glued by Packprint on corner gluing equipment, generally a shallow box with lid. The main advantage is quick erection. Size limitation must be kept in mind when supplying cartons of this type.
